Volkswagen’s four-seater convertible design study, the Concept C, will become reality in 2006.
Unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March this year, the Concept C has an electro-hydraulic folding steel roof that transforms the car from coupe to open-top in just a few seconds. The steel roof segment also incorporates a sliding glass sunroof.
Boot space is said to be generous, with 200 litres available with the roof down, increasing to 400 litres when in coupé mode.
The new convertible will be built at the “Volkswagen Autoeuropa – Automóveis Lda.” factory in Portugal.
