Volkswagen has introduced a new model to the Tiguan range, the Match, which replaces the Tiguan SE.

It’s priced £450 less than the SE, but comes with £700 of extra equipment.

The Tiguan Match features satellite navigation, 17-inch alloy wheels, climate control, and VW’s Park Assist self-parking system.

It’s available in either 2WD or 4WD form, and with a choice of 160PS 1.4-litre or 180PS 2.0-litre petrol engines, or a 2.0-litre diesel in 140PS or 177PS guises.

VW’s DSG dual-clutch transmission is available as an option on all but the 1.4-litre petrol unit.

Prices start from £23,245 for the 1.4-litre TSI 2WD, rising to £28,740 for the 2.0-litre TDI 177PS with DSG gearbox.

First deliveries are expected in September.
