The 2014 VW Passat range has gained two new trim levels – Executive and Executive Style – that sit between the entry-level S and BlueMotion models and replace the Highline, Sport, and R-line trims.

Both feature 17-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails and chrome exterior trim, plus DAB digital radio with satnav, Vienna leather trim, heated front seats (electrically-adjustable for the driver), cruise control and front and rear parking sensors.

VW say the Executive grade adds £1,700 of equipment for a premium of only £200.

The Executive Style grade further adds 15mm lower sports suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, front fog lights, and rear privacy glass – said to be £2,000-worth of goodies for an extra £995.

Prices start at £22,900 for the Executive 1.4 TSI 160 and £23,895 for the Executive Style with the same engine.  Estate models add a £1,410 premium.
