Volkswagen has today launched the Transporter Shuttle, a people-carrying version of the Transporter van.

The Transporter shuttle is available in two wheelbases, and is capable of seating up to nine people.  VW says they’re targeting not just commercial users (think hotels, airports, taxis, etc) but also large families.

Standard features include ABS, TCS, remote locking, electric mirrors, electric windows and roller blinds, while SE models benefit from body-coloured bumpers, carpets, and air conditioning.

Four engines are available, all TDI PD diesels: two 1.9s and two 2.5s, with power outputs ranging from 85 PS to 174 PS.  4MOTION four-wheel drive is even available on some models.

Prices range from £19,462.75 for the T30 S TDI PD 85 PS (catchy name, huh?), up to up to £24,926.50 for the T30 SE TDI PD 174 PS long wheelbase.

So if you’re in the market for a big van with seats, you know where to look.
