Volkswagen has launched a convenient new concept across its entire retailer service network, designed to save customers time and money.

Called Express Fit, it enables customers to drop in without an appointment for basic service, maintenance and repair work.

The new scheme was first offered at Alan Day in New Southgate, London, in July last year. Its success has helped ensure that from 1 July 2004, all Volkswagen retailers now provide the Express Fit service.

Every Express Fit offers the following range of services, each completed in less than one hour with no appointment:

  • Multi-point check on all vehicles
  • Maintenance and repair of:
  • Tyres and brakes
  • Exhausts and shock absorbers
  • Batteries and windscreen wiper blades
  • Other minor repairs
  • Lubrication service
  • MOT test (at selected retailers)
  • Express Fit centres feature competitive pricing with transparent quotes. Prices for the most common jobs are clearly displayed and the price is agreed with the customer in advance for any work being undertaken.

    Express Fit will be especially appealing for high mileage drivers who need their vehicles to be back on the road as soon as possible. With this convenient system, the driver can either leave the car with the retailer for the short time required, or wait in the comfort of the showroom.
