Among the other VXR-branded cars on Vauxhall’s stand at this year’s Sunday Times Motor Show, was this, the Vivaro Sportive Doublecab.
The Luton-built Vivaro double cab wears full VXR livery, with red and grey soft leather seats for six and, of course, stacks of cargo space. Kit-wise, you’ll find electric windows, air conditioning, solar reflective windscreen, ultrasonic alarm system, uprated CD player and satellite navigation.
In the load bay there’s an easy-to-clean polypropylene lining kit and a wooden floor.
Externally, it’s kitted out with body-colour bumpers with black rubbing strips, chrome side bars, a rear roof spoiler, and double chrome exhausts.
The Vivaro was originally created as a styling exercise, although Vauxhall is apparently keeping an open mind as to whether some of these features will appear on the options list in the future.
In the meantime, there are plans to use the Vivaro concept as a VXR support vehicle during the summer. So watch out for it at a British Touring Car Championship meeting.
