The Vauxhall Astra GTC is now available with the 200PS 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine from the Cascada, making it the fastest non-VXR model in the Astra range.
The engine produces 200PS (197hp) and 300Nm (221lb/ft) of torque, allowing the Astra GTC to sprint from 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds and on to its 143mph top speed.
Economy is officially recorded at 51mpg on the combined cycle, with CO2 emissions of 154 g/km placing it in VED Band G (£175 pa).
Vauxhall has also added the company’s Intellilink infotainment system to the options list with a price tag of £855.
Prices for the Astra GTC 1.6 Ecotec start at £20,995. Order books are open now, with first deliveries due in the spring.
