The Toyota Aygo range has been revised for the 2014 model year, with new trim levels, extra safety kit, new colours and new roof decal options.

The Aygo range now consists of four trim levels – Active, Active Plus, Mode and Move.

All models in the range are now equipped with Toyota’s VSC stability control as standard, together with curtain airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts and seatbelt reminders for front seat occupants.

The entry-level Active model also gains a 50/50 split-folding rear seat with removable headrests.

The new Mode grade features 14-inch eight-spoke ‘Ragno’ alloy wheels, front fog lights, rear privacy glass, LED daytime running lights, rev counter (woo-hoo!), electric front windows, remote central locking, and body-colour door handles and mirrors.

The Move adds a TomTom portable satnav system that fits into a dock on top of the dashboard, and integrates with the car’s Bluetooth and iPod connectivity.  Air conditioning and a leather steering wheel and gear knob are also added.

A Protection Pack can be added to five-door Mode and Move models, which adds rear parking sensors, mud flaps, carpet mats and side protection mouldings.

A Design Pack can also be specified, with front scuff plates, rear chrome trim and a chrome tailpipe.

Two new colour options have been added to the shade chart.  Nero Rosso for Mode and Move grades offers red bodywork with a black roof and black interior trim details.  Napoli Blue, for the Move model only, adds metallic blue paintwork with matching interior trim on the doors, air vents and rev counter surrounds.

Further customisation is available via a range of roof decals, including Union Jack designs in colour or monochrome, a racing checker-board design, or plain gloss white, gloss black or matt black.

All Aygo models are powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with CO2 emissions from 99 g/km and an official combined economy figure of 65.7mpg.

Prices start from £8,595, and the new Toyota Aygo range is on sale now.
