New Suzuki Swift 4×4 model introduced
Suzuki has launched a new 4WD version of the Swift.
Available as a five-door only and with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and manual transmission, the Swift 4×4 features a 25mm higher ride height than the standard model and subtle 4×4 badging.
There’s a choice of two trim levels – SZ3 or SZ4. The latter has a more rugged appearance with black wheel arch extensions, black side skirts, and front and rear skid plates. The SZ4 model also now features electrically-folding door mirrors and daytime running lights as standard.
The Swift 4×4 uses a fully automatic permanent 4×4 system which can transfer torque to the rear wheels when required via a centre viscous coupling. The system only adds 65kg to the vehicle’s weight, and emissions are only 10 g/km higher at 126 g/km.
The Swift 4×4 is available as part of Suzuki’s recently extended VAT free promotion, with the SZ3 priced at £11,516 and £13,116 for the SZ4. Both are available to order now.
