Subaru has confirmed that the Levorg will be coming to UK shores this September.
The name is a concatenation of ‘legacy’, ‘revolution’ and ‘touring’ although in the UK it will be officially known as the Levorg GT.
It fits into the Subaru range below the Outback, its lower ride-height and more on-road focus making it the natural successor to the previous Legacy Tourer.
Power will come from a new 1.6-litre ‘boxer’ petrol engine producing 170PS, mated to the company’s Lineartronic CVT transmission and symmetrical all-wheel-drive system.
Although current plans suggest it will not be equipped with Subaru’s EyeSight system, it will however feature blind spot warning and rear traffic alert.
The company also promises it will offer more interior space than previous Legacy models, as well as sports seats and premium materials.
The Outback’s new infotainment system is also expected to be included.
Pricing and specifications will be announced closer to the Levorg’s UK launch this September.
