Ssangyong is celebrating 60 years of vehicle production with two special editions of its Rexton SUV and Korando crossover.
The Rexton W 4×4 60th anniversary edition is based on the EX specification, and adds front parking sensors, electric sunroof, heated front and rear seats, power adjustable front passenger seat, and satellite navigation with DAB digital radio.
It’s finished in Pearl White Lily metallic paint, while power comes from Ssangyong’s own 2.0-litre turbodiesel producing 155PS and 360Nm of torque.
Available with either a six-speed manual or five-speed Mercedes-Benz automatic transmission, it’s priced at £25,995 and £27,495 for manual and auto versions respectively.
The 60th anniversary edition Korando, meanwhile, is based on the 4WD-equipped ELX4 grade, and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, rear spoiler and chrome trim.
It’s also finished in Pearl White Lily metallic paint, and is priced from £21,245 for the manual version, or £22,745 for the automatic.
The Giugiaro-designed Korando was recently awarded the title of Caravan Club Towcar of the Year 2014 for vehicles under £16,000, while all models in the Ssangyong range are offered with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty.
