New models and enhanced equipment levels are to be introduced across the Rover product range in 2005.
Rover’s 25 range has three new extra model derivatives – the GLi, GSi and GXi. The GLi features body-coloured door mirrors, electric sunroof, 15″ Turbine alloy wheels, leather upholstery, CD tuner, centre rear armrest and additional rear headrests; the steering wheel and gearknob are also leather-trimmed. Front windows are electrically operated and the doors have wood pulls. The Rover 25 GLi 1.4 (84Ps) 3-door starts at £8,995.
The higher specified GSi model is distinguished with body-coloured rear aero spoiler, door handles and door mirrors. Additional equipment includes air conditioning and all round electric windows. The stereo system is controlled with steering wheel-mounted controls and the seats now feature height and lumbar adjustment.
The top-of-the-range GXi model includes all the GSi features, and adds attractive 16″ nine-spoke alloy wheels, MP3 CD autochanger, passenger airbag and a higher output 1.6-litre K Series engine.
Engine choices include the 84 and 103Ps 1.4-litre, the 109Ps 1.6-litre K Series petrol or a 2.0-litre turbodiesel. An Ash or Smokestone interior can be chosen with Black Oak or Burr Walnut trim, dependent on the exterior colour chosen.
Rover’s Streetwise is also available in GLi and GSi specification, with Burnished or Chagall Blue painted centre console and door pulls. The GLi model has extra rear headrests and body coloured door mirrors. The GSi model is upgraded with air conditioning, driver’s seat height and lumbar adjustment and electric rear windows.
All models are available in six exterior colours, the popular Starlight Silver, Tempest Grey, Sonic Blue, Firefrost Red, Platinum Gold and Midnight Blue.
The Rover 45 GLi model comes as a 1.4-litre 5-door and is equipped with leather on the seats, steering wheel and gearknob, a CD tuner controlled by steering wheel-mounted controls, electric front windows, bright tread strips and body-coloured door mirrors. It’s priced at £10,995.
From £12,145, the 45 GSi model comes with all the GLi features, and adds Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) air conditioning, chrome door mirrors with electronic adjustment and demist, and 15″ Turbine alloy wheels. 16″ nine-spoke alloy wheels are an extra optional choice.
All 75s now also feature extra equipment with head airbag protection, electric front and rear windows and leather gearknob. TrafficMaster’s SmartNav is standard on all but the entry Classic model and heated leather seats are standard equipment on Connoisseur models.
