Two new special editions of Renault’s Modus have been launched – Modus Oasis and Modus Maxim – both with air conditioning as standard and available to order now.
Modus Oasis is the perfect choice if you need plenty of room in your car but don’t want to break the bank, as it offers high levels of comfort and practicality all at a practical price as well! Based on the existing Expression trim, Modus Oasis is available in four engine choices, two petrol and two diesel and prices start from £10,100 for the petrol 1.2 16V 75, rising to £11,500 for the dCi 86 IF Euro IV.
Renault’s other Modus special edition, Maxim, is based on the popular and sporty Dynamique trim but has more than £1,100 worth of additional equipment! Available in a choice of six engines, three petrol and three diesel, prices for Modus Maxim start at £11,200 for the 1.4 16V 98 rising to £12,800 for the new engine Maxim dCi 106.
For a splash of funky functionality, Modus Oasis offers all the space and comfort practical daily living demands but still manages to retain its sense of fun. Value for money is assured with additional standard features to the lower mid-range Expression trim it’s based on that are worth £700!
Modus Oasis offers the following standard features in addition to those featured on Expression: Air conditioning, ‘Boot Chute’ double opening tailgate, Specific Oasis ‘Kaleidoscope’ red upholstery.
The innovative ‘Boot Chute’ is a split-opening tailgate which can either be opened as a complete door as normal, or you can just open a section of the lower half which is hinged at the bottom to rest loads on if necessary. Not only that if you’re stuck in a confined space and can’t fully open the whole door, the useful ‘Boot Chute’ allows easy access to the boot.

Modus Maxim has a style all of its own with specific distinctive charcoal grey seat upholstery exclusive to this special edition, and is packed full of technology to help make you journey a more relaxing one. As well as ‘Maxim’ upholstery, Modus Maxim also has the following standard equipment over and above Dynamique worth £1,100: Air Conditioning, Cruise Control

Available in a wide range of engines, three petrol and three diesel, Modus Maxim top of the range version is the new more powerful dCi 106 IF Euro IV six-speed engine which develops 106 hp at 4,000rpm and 240 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The high performance engine offers a 0-62 of 11.2 seconds, however Modus Maxim dCi 106 still offers excellent fuel economy returning 60.1 mpg on the combined cycle.

Customers also have the choice of four option packs available on Modus Maxim. The Storage Pack makes Modus even more flexible if possible including storage under driver’s seat and luggage net and costs £100. The Town Pack includes the handy Boot Chute and Storage Pack and costs £250.
Techno Pack (£1,100) offers underseat six x CD multi-changer RDS radio with additional single CD and Carminat satellite navigation (monochrome screen with ‘Turn-by-Turn’ function and voice messages). Finally, the Handling Pack costs £450 and includes ESP with ASR traction control and CSV understeer control and tyre pressure monitor.
