Porsche has unveiled the new Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS, both of which receive more power and subtle styling tweaks.

Both are powered by a 3.4-litre flat-six engine with an additional 15hp over their respective S models.

That gives the Boxster GTS 330hp and the Cayman GTS 340hp, with torque figures of 370Nm and 380Nm respectively.

A six-speed manual transmission is standard, while a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission is available as an option.

A PDK-equipped Boxster GTS can now accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds – 0.3 sec quicker than a Boxster S – while the Cayman GTS manages the same sprint in 4.6 seconds – again, 0.3 sec faster.

The Boxster tops out at 174mph, the Cayman at 177mph.  Both are now Euro 6-compliant, and achieve 34.4 mpg on the combined cycle.

From the outside, the GTS models wear black 20-inch Carrera S alloy wheels, a new front spoiler, revised rear lower apron, black-backed bi-xenon headlights, and black rear lettering.

Standard equipment includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Dynamic Lighting System, Sport Chrono package, and Sports seats Plus with leather/Alcantara.

Prices for the Boxster GTS start at £52,879, with the Cayman GTS priced at £55,397.  Both are available to order now, with first deliveries expected in May.
