The Peugeot 307 Hatchback, one of the UK’s top ten selling cars in 2005, now benefits from an improved specification as the range is realigned into a four trim-level range, starting with the Urban model at £11,900. The versatile 307 Estate range is available in two trim levels – Urban and S and starts at £14,500, while the distinctive 307 CC (Coupé Cabriolet) and SW (with its distinctive panoramic glass roof) models also feature specification enhancements.
The new Urban model is the entry version to the range (replacing the E) but now equipped with air conditioning as standard and the black/grey Starting cloth trim that was previously standard on the S.
An enhanced S model carries many additional features over the Urban, starting from £12,600. The specification now includes the attractive 16" Equinox alloy wheels, front fog lights and distinctive grille bars with chrome detailing. The interior features include a perforated leather steering wheel, cruise control with speed limiter, white instrument dials and Turbine black/grey or black/red cloth trim (dependent on exterior colour).
The new Sport model (replaces both the SE and XSi) is available exclusively in the Hatchback body style with a choice of either three or five door versions and a wide range of engines. Available from £14,600 the Sport models feature black leather upholstery as standard. For an extra £1,400 over similar engined S models, the new Sport offers a more comprehensive specification. 17" Alloy wheels distinguish the attractive exterior, complementing the more engaging dynamic chassis set-up.
The Sport model is well-equipped, with sport front seats and black leather upholstery, a leather sports steering wheel, aluminium gear knob, climate controlled digital dual zone air-conditioning, automatic headlamps and windscreen wipers, electric folding exterior mirrors and rear electric windows (on 5-door models) as standard. An electrochromic rear view mirror, athermic windscreen, front armrests (on 5-door models), a rear centre armrest, carpet mats and 5-disc CD autochanger all combine to make this a desirable and sophisticated trim specification.
The new range-topping GT model features the most powerful engines in the 307 range: as well as a 2.0-litre 180 bhp petrol it is now available with the HDi 136 diesel. GT models (replacing the Feliné) feature black leather upholstery, plus 17" Aidel alloy wheels, a Thatcham Class 1 anti-theft alarm, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust pipe extension and aluminium pedals over the new Sport model.
The 307 SW range starts at £14,800 with two enhanced trim levels. S models now feature 16" Equinox alloy wheels, cruise control with speed limiter and distinctive front grille bars with chrome detailing. The top-spec SE model benefits from a rear parking aid, cruise control with speed limiter, distinctive grille bars with chrome detailing and dark tinted rear side windows. SE models also take Agave grey velour trim.
The 307 CC is also available in two well-specified trim levels – the S model remains unchanged, at £17,350, while the new Sport (replacing the SE model) is enhanced with 17" alloy wheels, leather upholstery, cruise control with speed limiter and aluminium pedals.
