Perodua has launched a new generation Kelisa, with an ever lower price.

The supermini’s looks have been fettled, and the specification has been upgraded to include higher-grade upholstery and the option of metallic paint on the entry-level EX model. The GXi model is also now fitted with protective side mouldings, while the EZi automatic comes with colour-coded mirrors and door handles.

All models are fitted with power steering, dual airbags, side impact protection, seat belt pre-tensioners, engine immobiliser, folding rear seat backrest, rear wash/wipe and heated rear windscreen as standard. The GXi and EZi models also include electric front windows, metallic paint, central locking, colour co-ordinated bumpers/tailgate moulding and full wheel trims. Kelisa EZi also features a fully automatic transmission and electrically operated rear view mirrors.

Prices start at just £4,699 for the EX, rising to £6,399 for the EZi auto (excluding road fund licence and first registration fee), representing a saving of up to £300 on the previous generation.

The Kelisa continues to be the UK’s most affordable car to run over 3 years/60,000 miles, with a cost-per-mile of just 14.1p according to CAP.
