Nissan dealers will open the order books for the Murano and the 350Z Roadster on 15 October.
Powered by the same 3.5-litre V6 engine as the 350Z, the Murano will be available in just one version starting at £29,800.
The car is fitted with Nissan’s XTronic Continuously Variable Transmission. Drive to the wheels is fed through Nissan’s ALL MODE 4×4 system, as used on the X-TRAIL. It includes ESP+ for added stability, which is linked to an active brake limited slip differential.
“Birdview” satellite navigation, leather upholstery, air-conditioning and a seven-speaker Bose audio system will all be standard equipment on the Murano.
The main feature of the 350Z Roadster is its automatic roof which takes less than 20 seconds to raise or lower. When lowered, the roof folds away under a lightweight tonneau cover in front of the boot lid.
Standard equipment on the 350Z Roadster is identical to its coupe twin but with an additional option unique to the new model: Alezan leather and ventilated net seats available on the ‘GT Pack’.
The standard model is priced at £26,000 and the ‘GT Pack’ at £28,500.
Nissan is hoping these new models will sell as well as the Coupe – all 450 cars were sold out in 58 minutes.
