Audi has expanded the TT range to six models with the introduction of a new entry-level model, also available as an automatic.

A new entry-level two wheel-drive version is available now, and uses the familiar 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine to drive the front wheels only.

Performance for the TT Coupe 180PS is slightly up on the quattro models, to 0-62mph in 7.8 secs and a top speed of 142mph. Economy improves, too, from 29.7mpg to 34.8mpg on the combined cycle.

It’s priced at £20,725 on the road, over £4,500 cheaper than the four wheel-drive model.

There’s a new automatic version, too, using a six-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox that carries the TT to 62mph in 8.4 seconds, and on to a slightly lower maximum speed of 140mph. Economy suffers a little, at 31.0mpg.

The automatic version is priced at £22,125. Both versions are available to order now.
