MG has introduced a pair of Trophy specification ZR models to appeal to younger buyers.

The Trophy ZR combines the low insurance entry-model with the appearance features of the high-performing ZR 160. Features include distinctive rear lamps, alloy wheels, side sills and rear bumper extensions.

Two trim specifications are available – the ZR Trophy and Trophy SE. The ZR Trophy features 16″ Gridspoke alloy wheels, side sills and rear bumper extensions, a CD tuner with six speakers, electric sunroof and a sports leather steering wheel and gear knob.

The ZR Trophy SE adds 17″ Straights alloy wheels, an MP3 player, air conditioning, Axis part-leather seats, and driver’s seat height and lumbar adjustment.

Prices start at £9,995 for the ZR 105 Trophy 3-door, rising to £15,645 for the ZR 160 5-door.

All ZR models feature a T1 (Thatcham Cat1 approved) alarm and immobiliser system, with the ZR 105 model assigned a 7E ABI (Association of British Insurers) rating.
