MG has unveiled its concept electric vehicle, the Dynamo, as part of the company’s celebrations during its 90th anniversary year.

The MG Dynamo was created at the company’s European Design and Technical Centre at Longbridge, Birmingham.

MG says the Dynamo’s current mission is to ‘fully understand European market demand for a small, electric MG.’

The Dynamo is powered by a 52 kW (70 hp) electric motor that can generate 155Nm of torque from a standstill.

Weighing in at 1,080kg, the Dynamo is said to be capable of accelerating from 0-50 kph (0-31 mph) in 5.3 seconds, and has a typical range of around 80 km (50 miles).

Its batteries can be recharged to 80% capacity in just 30 minutes, with a full charging taking around 6 hours.
