The new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG will be priced from £119,565 when it arrives in UK showrooms this November.
Powered by a hand-built 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 churning out an incredible 585 hp and 900 Nm of torque, the fastest S-Class ever produced can accelerate to 62mph in just 4.4 seconds, and on to a limited top speed of 155 mph.
If that isn’t fast enough for you, a £2,760 Drivers Package removes the limiter, giving you access to the full 186 mph top whack, and automatically enrolls you on AMG’s Power and Passion racetrack-based driving course.
Considering the performance on offer, the S-Class AMG still achieves a respectable 27 mpg on the combined cycle, and emits 237 g/km of CO2.
The performance measures don’t end with the engine, however. The S63 AMG uses composite brakes as standard, together with a unique AMG sports suspension system based on Mercedes’ new Magic Body Control.
Providing aural and visual excitement are an AMG sports exhaust system, an AMG styling kit with new front and rear bumpers, and AMG 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels.
Inside, there’s an AMG sports steering wheel, sports seats, and an IWC-designed analogue clock.
Standard goodies include an incredible Burmester surround sound system, Driving Assistance Package, Front Seat Comfort Package, Panoramic sunroof, Keyless Go, tyre pressure monitoring system and full ambient lighting.
Optional equipment includes a Carbon Package at £5,000, while full ceramic brakes can be added for an eye-watering £7,090.
