The McLaren 12C GT Sprint will be priced from £195,000 plus taxes, it has been announced.

The track-focused GT Sprint is powered by a 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 engine developing 625PS, and mated to a seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox.

The oil and cooling systems have been optimised for track use, and the Sprint also features the roll cage and digital dash display from the 12C GT3 race car.

McLaren’s Brake Steer, Airbrake, and Proactive Chassis Control systems will also be offered on the Sprint.

Compared to the standard 12C, the ride has been lowered by 40mm, and the Sprint wears a more aggressive front bumper, as well as a GT3-inspired bonnet with additional vents for cooling and down-force generation.

The 19-inch centre-locking alloy wheels cover GT race-spec brakes, and the Sprint also features the racer’s on-board air jack system.

The composite light-weight racing seat is fully adjustable and HANS-approved, while an integrated fire extinguisher system has also been fitted.

The 12C’s air conditioning system has been retained for driver comfort.

A range of options will be made available through McLaren’s GT outfit, including aerodynamic upgrades such as bespoke carbon-fibre rear wings and front splitters, and light-weight options such as a polycarbonate windscreen.

It’s available in any colour you like.
