The Mazda MX-5 25th Anniversary Edition has been created to celebrate 25 years since the launch of the iconic roadster.
Since its launch in 1989, more than 940,000 MX-5s have been produced, gaining it a place in the Guinness World Record books as the best-selling two-seater sportscar.
The special 25th Anniversary Edition is based on the 2.0-litre 160PS Roadster Coupe, and is available only in Soul Red Metallic.
If features Brilliant Black-painted roof, A-pillars and door mirrors, plus off-white leather seats and door trim, and a hand-finished Piano Black dashboard panel.
Bilstein dampers and 17-inch Dark Gunmetal alloy wheels are also fitted, promising to make the most of the MX-5’s handling.
Mazda has also unveiled the SkyActiv chassis that will underpin the next generation MX-5.
The company says they have been able to move the engine closer to the vehicle’s centre, with a lower centre of gravity. They also believe the finished model will be 100kg lighter than the existing model, while retaining body rigidity and crash safety.
