Order books for the new Lexus RC F are open now, with prices starting at £59,995.
A light-weight RC F Carbon edition, which uses carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) for some body panels will also be available for £67,995.
Both versions of the RC F are powered by a 5.0-litre 32-valve V8 engine that develops 450bhp and 520Nm of torque. Mated to an eight-speed transmission, the RC F is described by Lexus as its most powerful production V8 coupe ever.
Standard specification on all RC Fs includes full LED headlights with automatic high-beam function, 10-speaker audio system with DAB digital radio, the company’s new Remote Touch touch-pad controller, Premium Navigation system, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, keyless entry, electrically adjustable heated and ventilated seats, electric steering column adjustment and high-grade leather upholstery.
Options include metallic paint, a torque-vectoring differential, sunroof, adaptive cruise control and the fabulous Mark Levinson surround sound system.
The RC F Carbon model features the torque-vectoring differential as standard, plus a CFRP roof, bonnet and rear spoiler, special 19-inch alloy wheels, Alcantara upholstery, and the Mark Levinson sound system.
Both make use of Brembo brakes, Sachs monotube shock absorbers, an active rear wing, and Lexus’s VDIM system.
