The new Hyundai i20 Coupe has been officially unveiled.  Although based on the five-door model, the three-door i20 Coupe features sportier and more rakish styling, designed to appeal to younger buyers.

A unique colour option – Tangerine Orange – will also be available for the i20 Coupe, complete with matching orange interior.

Despite the sportier stance, practicality hasn’t been totally forgotten, with a 336-litre boot the company claims is best-in-class.

Power comes from a choice of four engines: a 1.1-litre diesel with 75PS, a 1.4 diesel with 90PS, a 1.25-litre petrol unit with 84PS and a 1.4-litre petrol with 100PS.

Despite the more aggressive looks, there’s no hot engine option as yet, although a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol unit will follow on later in 2015.

All engines are mated to a six-speed manual transmission, with a four-speed auto available as an option on the 100PS petrol unit.
