Honda’s S2000 topped the Top Gear 2004 Survey, with two other models also in the top ten.

Over 50,000 readers of Top Gear cast their vote in the most rigorously researched survey of over 140 cars from 35 manufacturers.

The S2000, a sports car capable of revving close to 9,000 rpm, topped the tables for performance and driving entertainment, and also ranked highly when it comes to mechanical reliability, acceptable running costs and the courteous and knowledgeable service Honda dealers provide.

The Honda Jazz won Best Small Car and was ranked at number 4 in the top ten. The British-built CR-V was in tenth place overall.

Steve Oliver, Honda’s Head of Customer department commented, "When it comes to the second biggest purchase of your life, "being satisfied" just isn’t enough. Complement a quality product with a quality service and it makes a heady combination."

The full results are available in the December 2004 issue of Top Gear.
