The new Honda HR-V will be priced from £17,995 when it arrives in UK showrooms in late August of this year.

Three trim levels will be offered – S, SE and EX – with all models benefiting from climate control, cruise control, and automatic headlights as standard.

The SE grade adds automatic wipers, front and rear parking sensors, six-speaker stereo and dual-zone climate control.

The top-spec EX grade goes on to add leather interior, keyless entry, reversing camera, panoramic sunroof and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Honda’s new Android-powered Connect infotainment system is standard on all but entry-level S models.  It includes navigation as standard on EX models and as an option on SE.

All HR-Vs will be equipped with Honda’s City-Brake Active system, while SE and EX models will include an additional suite of sensors to provide functions such as forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, and intelligent speed limiter.

Two engines will initially be available, starting with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol unit with 130PS, mated to either a six-speed manual or CVT transmission.

The 120PS 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine is available from £19,745 and is expected to achieve CO2 emissions figures from just 104 g/km.
