Honda has announced prices and insurance groups for their new MPV, the six-seat FR-V.

Initially the line up will comprise three models offered with 1.7 VTEC and 2.0 i-VTEC petrol engines, and SE and Sport trim levels.

All versions feature climate control air conditioning, front, side and curtain airbags, three ISOFIX child seat mountings (for front centre and outer rear seats), trip computer and CAT 1 alarm, with Vehicle Stability Assist on the 2.0 litre and alloy wheels, cruise control and front foglamps on the Sport.

Prices start at £14,750 for the 1.7 SE, rising to £16,400 for the 2.0 Sport. Insurance groups range from 9 to 12.

Sales of the FR-V begin in November, with the 2.2-litre CDTi diesel version coming on-stream early next year.
