Daihatsu is offering a free leather pack on all Copens purchased before the end of September.
The leather pack includes heated leather seats, leather door trim and a leather Momo steering wheel, collectively worth £500.
“It’s our way of thanking the 1,500 visitors to our stand at the last NEC Motor Show who filled in information sheets effectively telling Daihatsu in Japan that the UK had to have this car,” said Andrew Edmiston, Managing Director of Daihatsu Vehicle Distributors Limited.
The Copen went on sale last December, and features a Mercedes SLK-style electric folding roof.
Standard equipment includes: air-conditioning, alloy wheels, ABS with EBD, power steering, electric windows and door mirrors, remote keyless entry central locking and a radio/CD player.
Its 660 cc turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine buzzes the little car to a 106 mph top speed, with a 0-62 mph time of 11.7 seconds. It’s frugal, too, and returns 50.4 mpg on the Extra Urban Cycle.
Prices start at £13,495 including the free leather pack which is available until the end of September.
