Citroen has launched the VTR version of its C3 supermini, available until the end of January 2005 with a £2,000 cashback.

Powered by a 110hp 1.6-litre 16V petrol engine, the C3 VTR features a new bodykit, 16″ alloys and 120mph performance, all for £12,545, with a £2,000 cashback offer applicable to models ordered by 31 January 2005 and registered by 31 March 2005.

The bodykit includes wheel arch extensions, body-coloured rubbing strips, a restyled rear bumper and a new front bumper with a broader air intake and new fog light housings. At the back, there’s a chrome tailpipe to complete the look.

Inside, drivers will find a black leather steering wheel and gear knob, and bolstered, firmed up sports seats. A new dark grey trim completes the sporty character of the new model.

Spec includes air conditioning, variable power steering, electric front windows and CD player with steering wheel mounted controls. Safety gear includes ABS with EBD and EBA as well as four airbags. An alarm is fitted as standard while ESP with traction control is also available.

The 110hp engine, which is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, can return a sub-10 second 0-62mph time and almost 44mpg on the combined cycle.
