BMW will increase the price of the majority of its cars on 1st July.

Most models see a rise of between 1 – 2%, with an average rise of 1.3% across the range, although some models such as the 320Ci SE, will see a rise of 2.3%. All ES models however will remain at their current pricing levels.

Customers who had confirmed an order prior to 2nd April 2004, will be not be affected.

BMW have also confirmed that their warranty terms do not tie customers into the franchised dealer network. Owners can take their BMW to any garage without affecting their warranty, as long as the vehicle is serviced according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Additionally, all cars registered from 1 January 2004, will now be covered by a 12-year anti-corrosion warranty and a three-year paintwork warranty, an improvement over the previous six years’ anti-corrosion and one year’s paintwork warranty.
