Audi has created a new special edition – the Audi RS4 Avant Nogaro selection – to celebrate 20 years since the launch of the Audi RS2 in 1994.
The RS4 Avant Nogaro selection wears the same Nogaro blue pearl effect paint as the original, its name derived from the Nogaro circuit where Frank Biela achieved two victories in the 1993 French Touring Car Championship.
Other changes include gloss black surround to Audi’s trademark front grille, matt black roof rails, and an RS sports exhaust system with gloss black tailpipes.
Power comes from a 4.2-litre V8 that develops 450PS at an unusually high 8,250rpm, with maximum torque of 430Nm between 4,000 and 6,000rpm.
This powerhouse can drive the RS4 from 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds, and on to an electronically-limited top speed of 174mph. Economy, should you ask, is pegged at 26.4mpg with CO2 emissions of 249 g/km.
The interior features sport seats with the option of matching Nogaro blue Alcantara centre sections. The blue theme continues on the door trims, floor mats, steering wheel and gear-lever gaitor stitching.
The Audi RS4 Avant Nogaro selection will be available in Europe later in 2014, although UK availability has yet to be confirmed.
