Audi today announced a new model in the A4 range. The new 1.9 TDi 115ps replaces the previous 100ps model, and offers improvements to performance, emissions and BIK tax rates.
The new diesel engine also complies with the upcoming 2006 Euro IV regulations, and as a result offers a £235 reduction on business users’ tax bills. The 15 PS increase in power and 35 Nm rise in torque to 285Nm at 1,900rpm allows the five-speed manual A4 to accelerate from rest to 62mph in 11.2 seconds – almost one second faster than the 100PS model – and can reach a top speed of 124mph. Fuel consumption remains almost as low as before at 49.5mpg.
The new A4 is available to order now with first deliveries in June, with pricing for Saloon and Avant versions starting at £19,840 OTR and £20,990 OTR respectively.
