Honda has announced that the new NSX will be priced from around £130,000, with first European deliveries expected during Autumn 2016.
The new Honda NSX (the name being an abbreviation of ‘New Sports eXperience’) is powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine coupled with an electric motor, with power distributed via a 9-speed twin-clutch transmission to the rear wheels.
This is combined with the output from a further pair of electric motors driving the front wheels to create a zero delay launch and a dynamic torque vectoring function. Honda calls it SH-AWD, or Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive.
The NSX will be built at the Performance Manufacturing Centre (PMC) in Marysville, Ohio, by a team of 100 specialists.
It will be sold through a small number of authorised dealers in key locations.
