Ordering has opened for the new 2015 Ford Mustang in the US.
Prices are set to start from $24,425 for the entry-level 3.7-litre V6 model, which kicks the range off with over 300hp and 270lb/ft of torque.
Two other power-plants will be available – a 2.3-litre EcoBoost with 305hp and 300lb/ft, plus a 5.0-litre V8 with 420hp and 390lb/ft.
Prices for those engines, however, have not yet been revealed.
Standard equipment on all 2015 Mustangs will include tyre pressure monitoring, rear view camera, HID headlights, keyless entry, push-button start, and Ford’s SYNC and AppLink smartphone integration systems.
Options include a larger eight-inch touch-screen navigation set-up, various electronic safety aids, adaptive cruise control, and Line Lock launch control.
A selectable drive mode system with four modes – normal, snow/wet, sport, and track – will also be available, allowing the driver to reconfigure the steering, throttle response, traction control and gearbox shift quality.
A ’50 Years’ appearance package can also be added, with extra chrome grille elements, 19-inch wheels, unique interior stitching and special floor mats.
UK pricing has yet to be announced. The V6 engine is not expected to be available here.
