From July the Citroen DS3 and DS3 Cabrio will feature redesigned headlights with a new LED signature, Xenon modules, and sequential indicators.
The new units are said to be more energy efficient, using 35% less energy in dipped mode and 75% less in high-beam, while the LEDs are rated for 20,000 hours.
Sequential indicators at the front make their appearance for the first time in this class.
The existing 3D-effect rear lights are retained.
Alongside the lighting tweaks are a pair of new Euro 6 diesel engines. The BlueHDi 100 achieves up to 94mpg while emitting just 79g/km of CO2, while the more powerful BlueHDi 120 returns up to 78mpg with CO2 emissions of 94g/km.
A new petrol unit, dubbed the PureTech e-VTi 82 ETG and equipped with an automated manual gearbox, has yet to be confirmed for the UK market, but is said to be capable of 69mpg on the combined cycle.
Other changes include the option of a laser-etched dashboard strip on some models, new Pearl White and Belle-Ile Blue body colours, new 17-inch alloy wheels, and the option of a reversing camera.
