The Toyota RAV4 range has been updated for 2014, with more kit and options across the range, an updated multimedia system, and a new lower price for the entry-level model.

The 122bhp 2.0-litre D-4D diesel engine is now available with the option of four-wheel drive in both Icon and Invincible grades, with CO2 emissions of 137 g/km and combined cycle economy of 53.3 mpg.

All RAV4s except the base Active model now feature Toyota Touch 2, the company’s latest touch-screen multimedia system.  The revised system has a new higher resolution screen and provides Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, a reversing camera and various vehicle management functions.

Icon and Invincible models can upgrade to Toyota Touch 2 with Go, which adds a satellite navigation function with lane guidance, detour function, real-time traffic data, and speed camera warnings, plus Google’s Street View.

Kit upgrades include keyless entry and new two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels for Icon models, while the Invincible grade gains front parking sensors and the option of beige leather upholstery.

The 2014 RAV4 is now also available with a Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert system.

The RAV4 range now starts with the 2.0 D-4D 2WD Active at £22,195, having had its price reduced by £400.  The cheapest 4WD model, the Icon, comes in at £25,695, while the Invincible starts at £26,395.

First deliveries are due to start this week.
