The new Skoda Octavia Scout will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
Based on the Octavia estate, the Scout features black lower bumper trim, black sills, and black wheel-arch extensions, as well as silver trim to simulate the look of off-road skid plates.
Ground clearance has been increased by 33mm over the standard Octavia, with the Scout riding on 17-inch wheels as standard.
Four-wheel-drive capability comes in the form of a Haldex-5 centre differential which is said to be able to deliver up to 25% more traction than the old model.
The approach and departure angles have also increased, allowing the Scout to tackle more challenging terrain.
The engine range will initially consist of one petrol and two diesel units, which Skoda claims are 20% more economical than those of the previous Scout.
