The SEAT Leon Ecomotive uses a new 1.6-litre TDI engine to achieve fuel economy of up to 85.6mpg while emitting just 87 g/km of CO2.
The new 1.6 TDI develops 110 PS and 250 Nm of torque, and is capable of accelerating from rest to 62mph in 10.4 seconds.
However, with a combined cycle economy figure of 85.6mpg, the Leon Ecomotive can boast a theoretical tank range of just over 940 miles.
Thanks to its CO2 emissions rating of just 87 g/km, the Leon Ecomotive is ranked in VED Band A with an annual road tax bill of precisely £0.
The Ecomotive uses stop/start and brake energy recovery technologies to help it achieve its incredible efficiency figures.
It also features a specially adapted six-speed manual transmission, low rolling-resistance tyres, and various aerodynamic improvements such as a lower body height, closed-off air intakes, under-body aero panels and rear spoilers.
