The new Mini John Cooper Works concept, set to be officially unveiled at the Detroit motor show in January, offers a glimpse of the most sporting version of the new Mini that’s yet to come.
Although billed as a concept, the Mini JCW features larger air intakes to replace the fog lights, the grille receives a black surround, and an aerodynamic kit has been added with side skirts, roof spoiler and rear diffuser.
The JCW wears 18-inch light-alloy wheels and exclusive paintwork in hand-polished Bright Highways Grey with red and white stripes.
Additional red accents include those on the front grille, bonnet scoop, brake calipers and side repeater surrounds.
Although no details about what’s under the bonnet have been released, protruding through the rear diffuser are a pair of chrome tailpipes from a sports exhaust system.
