Order books open for the new Jeep Cherokee this week, with prices set to start from £25,495.
Three trim levels will be offered – Longitude, Longitude Plus and Limited – with a choice of two 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engines with 140bhp and 170bhp.
A 3.2-litre petrol V6 will arrive later in the year in the range-topping Trailhawk model.
All models include 17-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured door mirrors, LED rear lights, dual-zone climate control, parking sensors, Bluetooth connectivity and DAB digital radio.
Longitude+ models add the company’s Uconnect media system with 8.4-inch touch-screen, navigation and nine speakers.
The Limited model goes on to add bi-xenon headlights, power tailgate, 18-inch alloy wheels, Nappa leather seats, electrically-adjustable driver’s seat, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, automatic headlights and wipers, keyless entry and a wireless phone charging pad.
When the trail-rated Trailhawk version arrives later in the year, it will include increased suspension height, Active Drive Lock system and other off-road equipment.
