Subaru has launched a new series of Prodrive Performance Packs (PPP) for the 2006 model year Impreza 2.5 WRX, WRX STI, spec.D, and the new Forester 2.5 XT.
The packs feature reprogrammed ECUs, a high-flow catalytic converter, a sports exhaust silencer and, in the case of the Impreza WRX STI pack, a new high-flow fuel pump.
The result is an improvement in low- and mid-range torque – by 74 lb/ft in the Impreza WRX, for example – while top-end power also receives a boost – by 39PS for the WRX STI, which now produces 320PS in total.
The packs are available from any Subaru dealer, priced at £1,700 including VAT and fitting. The manufacturer’s warranty is preserved in all cases.
