Nissan today announced that its GT-R supercar achieved a lap time at the infamous Nürburgring in Germany of seven minutes and 29 seconds

The Nissan GT-R order book opened for business on 2 April 2008 and within the first 48 hours nearly 700 deposits were received for pre-order reservations, prompting Nissan to request additional supply from the factory

Nissan is today releasing prices and specifications for its new GT-R supercar. UK deliveries begin in March 2009, but selected dealers - Nissan High Performance Centres - will be accepting pre-orders accompanied by a £3500 deposit from 2 April this year
