Every new Daihatsu Copen sports car will come with free factory-fit leather trim until 30 September.
The sales initiative is worth £500 and is aimed at making the most of the annual summer sales boon in convertibles.
Already a cult-car thanks to its cute looks, 660 cc turbocharged engine and Mercedes SLK-like electric metal folding roof, the Copen has generated a firm following among those wanting style, nimble handling and mini-car running costs.
The Copen’s equipment levels are already high with power-steering, twin airbags, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, air-conditioning, electric windows and door mirrors, remote keyless-entry central locking, alloy wheels, front fog lamps, dual exhaust pipes and a radio CD player.
Now, the free luxury upgrade adds heated leather seats, leather door trim and leather MOMO steering wheel.
Priced at £13,495 on-the-road, the Copen is capable of a 106 mph top speed, 0-62 mph time of 11.7 seconds and 50.4 mpg on the Extra Urban Cycle.
Colour/trim choices include: Starlight Silver Metallic/red leather, Sunflower Yellow/red leather, Woodland Green/tan leather and Atlantic Blue/tan leather.
